Speaking

Helping churches and organizations better understand today's young adults.

Seven young people standing against a plain gray wall, engaged in conversation and smiling, dressed casually with sneakers and streetwear.

Transitions, Milestones & Change

Today's young adults are navigating a world that looks very different from the one previous generations entered. They’re facing longer transitions, delayed milestones, and a rapidly changing cultural landscape. Developmental psychologists refer to this unique stage of exploration and significant growth as emerging adulthood.

Understanding how these realities have reshaped what it means to become an adult completely changes the opportunities and challenges facing churches, parents, and ministry leaders seeking to disciple, mentor, and care for them.

Why I Speak

Serving young adults over the past decade has convinced me that understanding them is one of the greatest discipleship opportunities facing the Church today.

By drawing from psychology, theology, and counseling, I offer research-informed teaching to help organizations respond to this generation with greater wisdom, confidence, and hope.

Speaking Themes

These themes represent some of the conversations I most enjoy exploring. Every presentation is tailored to the needs of your audience and context.

What You Can Expect

People seated in rows attending a presentation by Justin Latimer about young adults, life transitions, and faith in a well-lit room.

No two audiences are exactly alike.

Every presentation is thoughtfully tailored to the unique needs of the audience and context.

Every message combines thoughtful research, biblical wisdom, practical application, and honest conversation.

Whenever possible, I also enjoy creating space for questions and discussion, where some of the most meaningful learning often happens.

Whether I'm speaking at a weekend retreat, a Sunday gathering, a parent seminar, or a leadership training, my hope is the same: to leave people with a deeper understanding of today's young adults and greater confidence in how to walk alongside them.

Testimonials

  • Justin has done an exceptional job communicating the complexities and challenges of the young adult journey to our College and Young Adult Ministry at La Jolla Presbyterian Church. His engaging communication style, thoughtful preparation, and ability to help young adults better understand and navigate their own personal journeys have made a meaningful impact on our community. His insights have not only resonated deeply with our young adults but have also challenged and encouraged me to reflect on my own journey through adulthood.

  • Justin Latimer is passionate about emerging adults. I’ve been privileged to be both an observer and participant in his development as a leader in this field. He brings to this conversation his own personal experiences of struggle and success, years of ministry experience, and, importantly, dedicated academic pursuit. He is a compassionate and encouraging voice for new generations of young adults, and for those who find themselves ministering to them.
